About Us
The State Bank of Arthur officially opened in May of 1910. Over the
years, we have continued the tradition of serving you, the customer.
In 1960, during the 50th Anniversary, former president E. L.
Jurgens relayed his thoughts.
"No bank could celebrate even its first anniversary
without the
good will and loyal support of its customers. To those who have
helped us to reach this current milestone, we are grateful. All of
us who have had the privilege of serving you wish to say "Thank
You". That we shall continue to do our utmost for you, goes
without saying. We hope you will come in as often as you can; and if
you have any suggestions for making our services more valuable to
you, we shall welcome your recommendations. As everyone in this
community knows, we have tried to run and operate a modern bank,
giving our customers the best service in every way, and it is our
desire to continue in this manner."
